Fast Weight Loss Diets – Pro or Con

We all wish there was a miracle fast weight loss diet that would just melt the pounds away magically! Of course even if there was, the trick is to keep those pounds off forever.

Foods

Try to lose weight slowly. Lose a pound or two a week until you reach a healthy weight. The faster you lose weight, the more likely you are to gain it back.

Do you eat too many calories? Use a BMR calculator (basal metabolic rate) to tell you how many calories you need to get through a day. You can find BMR calculators online.

Try to get most of your calories from lean meat, lowfat milk products, whole grains and plenty of fruits and vegetables.

Exercise

To lose weight and keep the weight off, you must change how you eat and how much you exercise. Fast weight loss diets normally don’t include any form of physical exercises. These diets encourage fast weight loss by eating very little. To maintain a healthy weight, many adults will most likely need to do 30 minutes or more of physical activity daily.

Stay Away

Beware of starvation diets and quick weight loss programs. Fast weight loss could harm your health. And don’t put your body through the stress of misleading diets where you will end up gaining all the weight back as soon as you end the diet. Fast weight loss could harm your health. Your body needs to be healthy to maintain a healthy weight.
