Pomegranate Juice – Part of the Pursuit of Healthiness

Pomegranate juice is an amazing juice. Studies have shown that pomegranate juice appears to help prevent hardening of the arteries and other diseases like strokes and heart attacks.

Recent research shows that pomegranates contain antioxidants at higher levels than do other juices like grape juice, blueberry juice, cranberry juice cocktail or orange juice. And antioxidants help to prevent heart disease and cancer. Antioxidants also help slow premature aging. Antioxidants are also the molecules that protect your body from Alzheimer’s disease.

You can easily find pomegranate juice mixed with cranberry juice in your local grocery store or you can even purchase just pomegranate juice. The juice is a little tart and a little sweet, very similar to cranberry juice. It tends to have more flavor than cranberry juice and tastes just a little bit heavier.

We all know fruit and fruit juice without added sugar is good for you. Seems like pomegranate juice is one of the best juices for your health. Be sure you buy pure pomegranate and not a mixture than has added sugar.
